GENERAL NOTICE

Town of Jonesville (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following:

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Jonesville Town Hall located at 1503 NC

Hwy 67, Jonesville, NC until Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 2:00 PM local time. At that time, the Bids received

will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Project includes the following Work:

1. Rehabilitation of 200,000 Gallon 64-foot Diameter concrete Clearwell.

2. Two story filter building addition approximately 22 feet x 28 feet.

a. Addition will include two (2) 9 feet by 10 feet gravity filters

b. Associated site work

3. Rehabilitation of the existing two (2) 9 ft x 10 ft gravity filters

4. SCADA system components

OBTAINING THE BIDDING DOCUMENTS

Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents as follows:

The Issuing Office and Owner’s Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm.

To submit a Bid for the Project, Prospective Bidders are required to register at The Wooten Plan Room as

a plan holder. (https://planroom.thewootencompany.com)

If Bidding Documents are obtained from a source other than the designated website in either electronic

or paper format, Bidder must still be registered at the Bid Website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be

responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the

designated website. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.

Advertisement for Bids

With a request for Bidding Documents supply the following information: Company name, contact person

with email, street address, phone numbers; N. C. contractor’s license with limitation and classification;

indicate if the firm will be a Bidder, Supplier or Sub-Contractor.

Prospective Bidders may download Bidding Documents as PDF files by accessing The Wooten Plan Room.

Registration and a payment of $50.00 provides access to the Wooten Plan Room.

Registration and payment of $600 provides access to the Wooten Plan Room and includes one

(1) full size Drawing set and one (1) Project Manual. Documents will be shipped via UPS ground.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE

A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 1:30 pm at Jonesville Town

Hall located at 1503 NC Hwy 67, Jonesville, NC. After the general meeting the meeting will adjourn to the

Jonesville Water Treatment Plant, 339 Shaw Street, Jonesville, NC 28642. Attendance at the pre-bid

conference is encouraged but not required.

INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.

Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding

Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instructions to Bidders.

Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to

the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.

The Owner is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages bidding by small, minority and female

contractors and does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status. Bids from qualified

disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) are encouraged.

For further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to

the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are

rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible Bidder, taking into consideration quality,

performance and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the Contract.
