The project is in the City of Jacksonville Beach and consists of the following general improvements at the Water Reclamation Facility (WRF):
Furnishing and installation of three (3) disk filter units as manufactured by Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. including all associated yard piping, fittings and valves (manually and electrically operated), elevated walkways, canopy, equipment concrete footing/pad, concrete sidewalks, irrigation system restoration, excavation, site work/grading, sod and seeding, filter fabric with rock, painting, electrical and instrumentation Scada for a complete operations filtration system as detailed on the contract drawings and technical specifications. Work also includes improvements to a segment of the existing 30” wet-weather discharge pipe, a new reclaim water discharge pipe to Pond D at golf course and associated valved, manholes, removal/demolition of the existing four (4) filtration units, associated piping and electrical, hydropneumatic tank and reclaim vertical turbine pumps and concrete dock/wall repairs. Prior to demolition of the existing filtration system, the contractor shall ensure that the new filtration system has been in continuous operation for 14 consecutive days without any issues that may affect the degree of treatment and in coordination with plant staff.

|
Each bid must contain either evidence of the Bidder’s qualifications to do business in the area where the project is located or covenant to obtain such qualifications prior to award of Contract. To demonstrate his qualifications to perform the Work, each Bidder shall submit with his Bid written evidence as to his financial status, previous successful contractual and technical experience in similar work including references, description, and volume of present commitments, evidence of possession of, or covenant to obtain prior to award of Contract, valid state, county, and local licenses covering all operations and all areas of political jurisdiction involved in the Work of this project and such other data as may be requested by the CITY. No bidder/company will be issued a contract for the work, who in the past seven (7) years has filed for bankruptcy personally or has been an owner/officer or principal of a firm, which has filed bankruptcy in the past seven (7) years.
Contractor must be able to exhibit to the City of Jacksonville Beach that he can perform a minimum of 40% of the total contract work with their own labor work force. The purchase of materials and/or equipment will not be considered as part of this percentage.
