The City of Surprise, Arizona (the "City") is accepting proposals for Water Distribution Optimization and Leak Detection Technology & Services to reduce structure water overuse issues for the Water Resource Management Department.
The intent of the City is to enter into a single Contract with a qualified person, or firm to provide the quality products and services, as specified, at a fair market price. The Estimated volume for this contract is $387,000.00
The initial term of the contract will be for a minimum of two (2) years and may be renewed up to three (3) additional one-year terms. Renewal of the contract will be based on the needs of the City.
The materials and services supplied under this Contract shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, and the Contract shall maintain all applicable licenses and permits.
Based upon the annual reviews of the City's water distribution system, the City experiences approximately 3% water loss due to leaks each year. Using the approximate percentage figure, the goal is to improve the water savings by 262 acre-feet per year by installing a leak detection digital technology water distribution system that will provide ongoing 24/7 monitoring leak detection and with confirmation of real time system pressure readings for the foreseeable future.
The City's source of funding is through a Federal Grant Award, American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), specifically the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF), with Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) Assistance Listing 21.027 for all activity pursuant to this Agreement, and the State of Arizona established the Water Conservation Grant Fund (WCGF) under Title 49, Chapter 8, Article 5 of the Arizona Revised Statutes.
