Description:

The City of Bristol is seeking bids for water blasting and lining of (three) secondary clarifier launders via submerged protective coatings at the WPC Facility, located at 75 Battisto Road, Bristol CT. Bid documents may be obtained at no charge by downloading from the City of Bristol website via the document link noted below.

A mandatory bidder’s conference will be held on June 10, 2025 at 9:00 am at the project site, located at 75 Battisto Road, Bristol, CT. Bids from firms not in attendance at this meeting will not be considered for award.

Bids will be accepted until June 18, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the Purchasing Department located in Bristol City Hall, at which time bids will be opened and read. Bids received after the opening date and time will not be considered for award. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in its best interest.

Each bid shall be in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Bristol Purchasing Department, identified as "Bid 2C25-085 Water Blasting and Lining Clarifier Launders at WPC Facility" accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bidders base bid amount, in the form of a Bid Bond made payable to the City of Bristol.

The awarded contractor will be required to secure a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract award, provided by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut.

The successful Bidder shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, gender, or national origin. The Contractor will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment without regard to their race, color, religion, gender, or national origin.
