Wastewater Treatment Plant – Valve Vault Upgrade

Project Description: The Borough of Catasauqua will receive sealed bids via PennBid for the Wastewater Treatment Plant – Valve Vault Upgrade project. The Work will include the replacement of three 12-inch check valve and gate valve assembly’s in an existing 9’x20’ valve vault and the installation of an additional 42”x42” hatch at the existing Borough of Catasauqua’s WWTP. Bids will be received until 1:00 PM (prevailing time) on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Bids results will be made available on PennBid after bid opening.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. at the Waste Water Treatment Plant at 18 Race Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032.

Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security made payable to the Owner(s) in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the total Bid price and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. The successful bidder must furnish Performance, Payment Bonds and Insurance per Contract and meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of General Conditions. This project is subject to minimum wage rates in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the Public Works Employee Verification Act. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in, and/or to reject, any or all bids. No bid will be accepted if obtained from sources other than the issuing office noted above.
