The Town of Wayland, acting through its Town Manager, hereby invites sealed bids from qualified vendors to establish contractual price agreements for labor on routine and emergency mechanical maintenance and repair services for the Town of Wayland Wastewater Management District Commission., pursuant to M.G.L. Ch. 149, as amended to date.
All bids and the awarding of any contract are subject to the provisions of M.G. L. Ch. 149, § 44A, et seq. and the provisions of M.G.L. Ch. 30, § 39M, et seq. Wages are subject to minimum wage rates determined by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Industries pursuant to M.G.L. Ch. 149, §§ 26 to 27H.
The rule for award will be based upon the responsible respondent offering the needed quality of service, based upon the criteria set forth in the attached Invitation for Bids (IFB), at the lowest price quotation, as may be in the best interest of the Town. At the time of award, the successful bidder will be required to provide a Certificate of Insurance demonstrating current coverage of the type and amounts set forth in the contract.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of cash, bid bond issued by a surety company licensed by the State Division of Insurance, or a certified, treasurer's or cashier's check, payable to the Town of Wayland, issued by a responsible bank or trust company licensed to do business in the State of Massachusetts, in the amount of 5% of the total bid.
