Summary

The Santa Cruz County Department of Community Development and Infrastructure, Recycling and Solid Waste Services (COUNTY) invites sealed proposals for Waste Characterization Study Services from fully licensed, insured, bonded, certified CONTRACTORS to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals required to provide services for the Santa Cruz County.

The COUNTY operates two disposal sites, the Buena Vista Landfill and the Ben Lomond Transfer Station, that serve the unincorporated County of Santa Cruz population of 133,153 people. The COUNTY oversees franchise waste hauler agreements that provide residential curbside and business refuse, recyclables and organic waste collection. The COUNTY is also responsible for compliance with State laws requiring waste reduction, recycling, and diversion.

Background

The COUNTY is soliciting bid proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to provide Waste Characterization Study Services as detailed in this Specification.
