Wallace Road Stream Debris Catchment -Town of Chenango

The Town of Chenango (Project Sponsor) invites Contractors to submit sealed bids for the State Funded Project–Wallace Road Stream Debris Catchment HMGP Project: # 4480-0121.

The scope of work generally consists of construction a debris catchment system to an existing stream that flows into an existing closed stormwater drainage system. Approximately 150 linear feet of the stream channel will be cleaned and widened to allow for a greater capacity. Additionally, the southern embankment will be regraded. The channel linings will incorporate heavy stone to maintain a natural channel. At least five(5) debris strainers across the channel will be placed to reduce stream velocity and promote specific areas for sediment and debris deposition. Stone cross vanes are provided as well immediately upstream of the pipe system for stream bed control. The streambanks will be stabilized with a mix of stone linings and topsoil/seed/mulch depending on location relative to stream flow. The project involves approximately 0.4 acres of ground disturbance. Refer to the project plans and bid documents for details.
