ITB 2026-12 WAKULLA COMMUNITY CENTER GYM EXPANSION CONSTRUCTION
ADDENDUM NO. 1
ITB 2026-12 QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES
Q1: Please specify a color for the solid surface vanity tops. Please advise.
RESPONSE: Refer to Color/Materials schedule. This information is available upon request to
procurement@mywakulla.com. Owner reserves the right to alter based on submission of
Manufacturers full range of standard colors.
Q2: E0.01 - Symbol for Room Occupancy Sensor says, “Provide Room Controllers as
Required". How many will be required? We need additional information
RESPONSE: Four will be required – one each for men’s, women’s, hallway, storage. (basis of
design is BZ-250; may vary with other suppliers).
Q3: E1.01 - There are Fire Alarm symbols and a Fire Alarm spec on E0.01 that states to
"extend the existing system" but does not say whose system this is. What is the existing fire
alarm system? Also, where is the FACP located? Where is the nearest device to which the Fire
Alarm can be tied? Need additional information
RESPONSE: See photos; field verify. This information is available upon request to
procurement@mywakulla.com.
Q4: E1.02 - Work Note #1 says..."Provide Relays as Required". How many? Need additional
information
RESPONSE: Four will be required – one each for men’s, women’s, hallway, storage. (basis of
design is BZ-250; may vary with other suppliers).
Q5: There is a discrepancy between the architectural drawings and the awning drawings. The
Arch. drawing show l.g. metal roof trusses (Ref. 1/A4.02) at the awning; not stick
framing. The Awning drawings shows the awning roof is stick framed with LG mtl. studs, etc.
(size, gauge, clips and fasteners are included). Also, no S.S. channel on the awning drawings
(Ref. 2/A4.02). It is noted as a LGM / inner beam. Please advise.

ADDENDUM NO. 1
RESPONSE: There is no discrepancy. There is a semantic difference. Truss was used as a
generic term, as opposed to rafter. Structural drawings should be followed. Submit light
guage shop drawings verifying compliance with the structural drawings.
Q6: The arch. specs list ext. glass mat gyp. sheathing (densglass?). But, no ext. gyp. sheathing
details are found on the plans. Please clarify the locations that require exterior glass gyp. mat
sheathing board: paper (2.7.B3) and exterior Gyp. Soffit Board (2.7.D.1) for this project. No
details are found within the designer's plans for GMSB or GSB (at ceilings/soffits - Ref. 09200-
2.4). Is this an oversight by the designer? Please advise.
RESPONSE: Spec Section 3.5 clarifies this. Glass-Mat board can be used in lieu of
cementitious tile backer units.
Q7: Please clarify if the gypsum board above finished ceiling areas is std. type X. For example,
the full height GMS walls at entry vestibule (Corridor) #01. Or does the MR board extend to
the underside of the PEMB (roof) deck? If no response by the bid date, we will figure std. typ.
To 6" above finished ceilings - typ.
RESPONSE: MR board shall be used in area subject to moisture. If a wall has a wet side and
an unwet side we would accept standard gypsum on the unwet side of the walls. All walls on
the interior of the bathrooms (wet side) shall be MR gypsum.
Q8: Please clarify if GMS chase wall type 04-1 requires gyp. board full height to deck between
the new gym addition and the existing building. Per section 2/A4.01, it appears the gyp.
board may be required, full height. Note: No gyp. board shown at detail 5/A4.01. If no
response by the bid date, we will figure the gyp. board to 6" above finished ceilings - typ.
RESPONSE: Dashed line represents wall studs in the corridor to extended to underside of the
roof deck. Gypsum on these walls only extends 6-8: above the ceiling height.
Q9: Please clarify ALT. #1, finish of storage room. Please confirm Gyp. and hat channels is
required at the ceiling and the inside face of the exterior (P.E.M.B.) walls. Detail 1/A4.01
points to the ceiling. The floor plan points to the east wall only. Is Gyp. and 7/8"' furring
required at the inside face of the south wall and inside the mechanical closet #11? The Plans

are unclear. Please advise. Please confirm all interior walls and sloped ceilings surfaces of
Storage Room #12 will M-R board. No cement board (ie, durock) is required within the
Storage room. Note: Wall type W-03 (Between men's showers and the large storage room
calls for cement board (both sides). Please advise.
RESPONSE: All walls and ceiling within this storage area shall receive gypsum and hat
channels. Typical ‘Type X’ gypsum is sufficient on the wall surfaces for alternate 1.
Q10: Please clarify if the gyp. board on 7/8" hat channels (Per Alt. #1, walls and ceiling) is M-R
type. Note, wall type 6 at the mechanical closet requires M-R board, both sides per the wall
types. If no response by the bid date, (Per ALT #1 conditions) we will figure std. type X board
over the LGM hat channels at P.E.M.B. walls (inside face) and at the pitched ceiling area.
Please confirm no durock is required. Note: Wall type W-03* calls for cement board (both
sides). Please advise.
RESPONSE: Alternate #1 could be Type X gypsum.
Q11: Please clarify if wall type W-06 at the mechanical closet #11 extends to the underside of
the P.E.M.B. roof assembly. Note: Storage Rm. #11 is mis-numbered/out of sequence on the
Finish Schedule (Ref. A1.01). Please advise.
RESPONSE:W-06 extends to underside of the PEMB roof deck.
Q12: Per the architectural plans, the roof assembly at the south entry are Light-gauge metal
trusses. But, the structural (awning) drawings refer to the assembly as ridge beam, rafter and
studs, etc. (Ref. Awning Sheet 02 &03) spaced at 16" o.c. Note: 16" o.c. is not std. spacing for
LG. . Mtl. Trusses, they are usually spaced at 24" o.c. Please clarify the awning roof and
perimeter beam assembly. Please advise.
RESPONSE: Refer to response to question 5
Q13: Please clarify if any specialty engineering and shop drawings/calcs. are required for the
Awning Roof assembly. All components are sized and gauged by Fla Engineering (Ref. Awning
Sheet 02).

ADDENDUM NO. 1
RESPONSE: Yes. Contractor is responsible for light gauge shop drawings.
Q14: Architectural details (Ref. 5/A4.02) delineate a structural steel channel at the perimeter
of the Awning roof (which does not match the Awning drawings). Please advise.
RESPONSE: Contractor is responsible for light gauge shop drawings.
Q15: Please confirm dashed lines ___- -___ indicate full height GMS walls only (Ref. A1.01). It
appears that No fire rated wall assemblies are required for this project (Ref. LS1.01). If walls
are considered as non fire-rated, please clarify the height of the gyp. board at ALL full height
walls. Please confirm/Advise.
RESPONSE: Dashed line represents wall studs extended to underside of the roof deck.
Gypsum on these three walls should be extended to the underside of the roof deck above.
These are not fire rated wall they are separation walls.
Q16: Please clarify if std. tile backer (ie, Denshield TBB) is acceptable for hard tile (WT-1 &
WT-2) GMS wall surfaces that are not expose to direct, hard water spray. Cement board is
typically required at showers, tubs and janitor sinks ONLY. Please advise.
RESPONSE: Dense Shield is a suitable alternative for the cementitious board.
Q17: The specs list multiple finish types for gyp. board wall and ceilings. Please specify level
of finish required for gyp. board ceilings and walls. The specs/plans do not list where finish
types are required within the new addition areas. Please advise.
RESPONSE: There are gypsum ceilings as Alternate #1. Same application should occur in the
mechanical room, hat channels and gypsum. Walls within the occupied spaces should receive
a ‘Splatter Knock Down’ finish. Walls and ceilings in the Alternate #1 and the mechanical
room should receive a ‘Mud and taped joints, sanded and painted finish.
Q18: Will a pull station be required at the addition's exterior door? Please advise.
RESPONSE: Provide new fire alarm system pull station at exterior door.
Q19: Will a full conduit system be required for the Fire Alarm system? Please advise
