The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) through the Massachusetts Center for Birth Defects Research and Prevention (MCBDRP) in the Bureau of Family Health and Nutrition applied for the continuation of the "Birth Defects Study to Evaluate Pregnancy exposure", BD-STEPS, including its Component B on risk factors for stillbirth. If awarded, the MCBDRP intends to contract with the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Department of Epidemiology to carry out proposed research projects relating to birth defects.
