Description

The Canadian Coast Guard Base (CCGB) Amherstburg is located on the eastern shore of the Amherstburg Channel of the Detroit River at 370 Dalhousie Street in Amherstburg, Ontario. The facility supports the operation of a number of departmental programs including aids to navigation, fleet, marine search and rescue, air support, maritime and civil infrastructure, and administration of the Amherstburg sub-district operations of the Canadian Coast Guard.

Proposed Work comprises upgrades to ship-to-shore power electrical systems on the wharf of the CCGB Amherstburg facility, including but not limited to the following:

-        Supply and installation of new double-door electrical enclosure for new W1 shore power pedestal. Enclosure will be installed on existing concrete pad constructed by others;

-        Supply and installation of all new electrical equipment and cabling in new W1 shore power pedestal;

-        Modifying existing E2 shore power pedestal to replace existing hardwired ship-to-shore power cable with a new pin-and-sleeve receptacle.

-        Modifying existing C4 shore power pedestal to relocate existing 600V pin-and-sleeve receptacle and install new 120V pin-and-sleeve receptacle and related components. Two new 120V, 5-30R receptacles will also be installed.

-        Supply and installation of new shore power cable with specified connectors on each end and wall-mounted storage cabinet; and

-        Supply of spare mating plugs and pin-and-sleeve receptacles.

The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by March 30, 2025.
