The Naval Special Warfare Command intends to award a contract to Caretaker Medical to provide maintenance services for its wireless wearable medical devices that continuously monitor key vital signs. Caretaker Medical, is the only authorized vendor to provide maintenance of these specialized equipment systems.

The items will be acquired in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This sole source acquisition is being conducted under the authority of the simplified acquisition procedures for certain commercial items at 41 U.S.C. 1901, as implemented by FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i). The Justification and Approval will be posted under this synopsis. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334510 - Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing. The size standard is 1,250 employees.

This synopsis shall not be construed as an RFQ or an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Purchase Order to Caretaker Medical, 941 GLENWOOD STATION LN, STE 301, CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA 22901 USA (CAGE 82PP7; UEI LYBNHDGHTL43). This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
