Page 5 of 5 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15 has an urgent requirement to provide a new, Firm-Fixed Price, contract for fully automated Immunochemical (IHC) and In-Situ hybridization (ISH) stainer instrumentation and associated reagents. Kits to be used within the Leica Bond III equipment currently in place at St. Louis and Kansas City VAMC. Reagents will be used in both locations, and Topeka VAMC. The contract is for sole source award to Leica Micro Systems Inc., 21440 W. Lake Cook Deer Park, IL 60010, USA. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 8.405-6; Limited Source Justification Approval and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available, and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification by email to the Contracting Specialist by 3:00 PM (CST) October 25, 2023. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be emailed to the Contracting Specialist, Michael Murphy Michael.murphy7@va.gov TELEPHONIC INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, NCO 15 will proceed with the sole source negotiation with .Leica Micro Systems.
All work to be closely coordinated with the VA Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer s Representative (COR).
Period of Performance: The Government anticipates a base and four option periods that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government.
