The Village of Clyde is requesting proposals from qualified engineering proponents for provision of engineering services to the Village. These services could include advice/ recommendations related to a broad range of topics, including development, environmental, asset management, buildings, regulatory compliance requirements, water treatment plant upgrades, civil infrastructure upgrades and/or improvements, and operational and capital improvements. Engineering for major capital works may be tendered separately.

Interested engineering firms would be required to investigate the municipality’s infrastructure and assess the needs based on their own findings. Most of the Village’s infrastructure is currently being assembled into a database for asset management purposes. It will not be available at the time this RFP is being released for consideration.

The Village of Clyde is soliciting proposals for an engineering firm with experience providing consultation, pre-design, design, tendering, and construction management of municipal construction projects including, but not limited to:
-        Water treatment and distribution
-        Wastewater, treatment and collection
-        Stormwater, drainage and collection
-        Roads and Sidewalks
-        Buildings
-        Environmental Assessments
-        Asset Management
-        Climate Change
-        Sustainable Design
-        Landscape Architecture
-        Planning and Development
-        Master Planning
-        Studies

The expected work includes providing engineering services, as needed, for items
Including but not limited to:
•        Primary Scope of Work will involve preliminary-design, detailed design, project tendering, construction management for capital infrastructure projects
•        Consultation with Village staff on engineering issues involving infrastructure operations, land development reviews, master plans, utility rates, etc.
•        Consultation on questions arising from the day to day operations of the municipality
•        Provide cost estimates for budgets, present major projects to Council and provide information on Federal & Provincial Grant Funding programs
