Background and Requirement: Contractor shall provide all required new parts in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
This equipment for proposed is the FT 10 Energy Platform this equipment must be able to perform the following functions.
SPECIFIC INSTRUMENT REQUIRED: South Texas VA Healthcare System for the Valley Lab Ft 10 Energy Platform needs to function with the following:
This platform has Tissuefect Technology that encompasses the following: Tissuefect TM sensing technology monitors changes in tissue impedance 434,000 times a second and adjusts energy output accordingly to deliver the appropriate amount of energy for the desired tissue effect.
LigaSure TM vessel sealing technology has been updated and improved in the Valley lab TM FT10 energy platform, controlled by TissueFectTM sensing technology by sensing tissue 434,000 times a second.
TissueFectTM is a 'smart' technology, using an "Adaptive" sealing algorithm which allows the Valley lab TM FT10 generator to adjust the energy delivery automatically based on the amount/impedance of tissue sensed.

The intent of this notice is to solicit sole source contract under the authority FAR 13.501(a)(1). The procurement strategy (e.g sole source only) for a solicitation that VA intends to post soon. Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following:
a. Where is the item manufactured, the VA is interested in procuring items manufactured in the United States.
If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, include the contract details in your response.
Please note that VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business/Veteran Owned Small Business or other Small Business manufacturers or authorized distributors that can provide this item.

DISTRIBUTORS: You must provide proof that you are an authorized distributor. VA does not accept gray market items.
