Solicitation QA:
1. Could we schedule a walk through on May 1st to get a more accurate quote? Onsite personnel will be available for site visits from 9:00am 11:30am EDT on Wednesday May 1st. Please send an email to haley.turner@va.gov if your company plans to participate. Site visits will not be scheduled outside of this window.
2. Time: Could we possibly push this to a two to three day job? One day would be highly unsuccessful if the next question is answered for normal business hours. This could be a multi-day job as long as all work is completed by May 10. Please include date(s) in your quote.
3. Building Hours: What are the hours that we will have access to the building? 8:00 5:00 EDT
4. Power: Has the power to all cubicles been shut down? and is there a way in which the landlord would require the wiring to be placed? Also is there any Data equipment we would have to package? Power to the cubicles will be shut down by the time work begins. Nothing data required at all.Â
5. Is there a service elevator? If so, could we have exclusive access to it? There is no need for elevator usage as everything is located on the first floor.
6. Final Push: What floor of the building is the equipment on? 1st floor How far are the cubicles from the service elevator? NA How Far is the service elevator from the staging area in the garage? NA How many doors will the furniture have to pass through to exit the building? 2 doors How big are those doors? One door is 36 wide and the final exit door is a double door.Â
7. Cleaning: Will you expect contractors to clean after the removal of furniture, to leave you in the best standing with the landlord? Cleaning will not be expected.
8. Most importantly are there any people working in the building at this time. If so, in what capacity are they working? The employees have all cleared the area of disassembly. The contractors will have free access to the area without impediment of employees.Â
