2026 Utility Operations Chemical Bid Proposal

The City of Bismarck, North Dakota is requesting bids for the supply of bulk pebbled quicklime, liquid phosphate blend, chlorine gas, sodium hypochlorite, sodium bisulfite, ferric chloride, fluorosilicic acid, liquid ammonium sulfate, liquid carbon dioxide, and liquid calcium nitrate for calendar year 2026.  Bids will be received by the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Bismarck, in the office of the City Administrator, until three (3:00) o’clock p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2025.  Bids will be publicly opened and reviewed at four (4:00) o’clock p.m., on Thursday, November 20, 2025.

We are offering the ability to appear at the bid opening via video/audio on Microsoft Teams, in addition to appearing in person.  There is no charge for this.  If you wish to appear virtually at the bid opening, please send your email address to For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. no later than 10:00 a.m. on the bid opening day.  We will arrange a video bid opening for you to see and hear as the bids are opened.

The proposals must be mailed to the City Administrator (PO Box 5503, Bismarck ND  58506-5503) or otherwise deposited with the City Administrator (221 N 5th Street, Bismarck ND) and shall be sealed and endorsed “2026 Chemical Supply Bids.”

All bidders are invited to be present at the opening of the proposals.

The right is reserved to hold all bids for a period of thirty (30) days, to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities or to accept such as may be determined to be in the best interest of the City of Bismarck.
