Description

PSNS and IMF, Industry Management Department, has a need for submarine maintenance and support work. The typical work may include blasting, preservation, and surface preparation for complete or touch-up preservation for the main ballast tanks, interior and exterior tanks, bow structure, bow dome areas above the boot top, interior and exterior sail, exterior free flood recesses, and exterior bull (underwater and freeboard). Non-SUBSAFE hull and structural repair work may include lead bin repair and fabrication, de-ballasting and re-ballasting, sound damping tile remove and replacement, anode removal and install, and safety track repair requirements. The contractor shall furnish the necessary management, supervision, personnel, financial capabilities, material support services, supplies, and equipment deemed necessary to perform depot level preservation on US Naval Submarines (SSN, SSBN and SSGN Classes), located at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Bremerton, WA (Controlled Industrial Area).
