The USFFC and MARMC are seeking industry input from industry on capability and approach regarding a potential requirement for Operational Level (O-Level) maintenance, service call work, system/equipment familiarization and port husbandry services in support of the Berthing and Messing Program. The COMUSFLTFORCOM Berthing and Messing Program maintains and operates Duty Crew Berthing Barges that are used by the Fleet when ships become uninhabitable during CNO scheduled overhaul and
repair periods. The barges perform a vital function in that they provide office, berthing and messing facilities in close proximity to the ships. Many of the barges are over 40 years old and require regular preventive maintenance to support present day fleet requirements. The contractor will provide unclassified operational support for assigned program Duty Crew Berthing Barges to include O-Level maintenance, service call work, system/equipment familiarization, and port husbandry requirements, to include customer delivery and receipt. Berthing and Messing Program Duty Crew Berthing Barges and other Service Craft (Non-Self
Propelled) covered under this requirement are located in Kittery, ME; Groton, CT; and Hampton Roads, VA.
Information is being gathered to determine industry capability to fully meet the Government's stated requirements. Potential sources either alone or with appropriate teaming partners must have demonstrated expertise/capabilities in relation to all tasks within the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS). See Attachment I: Draft USFFC Berthing and Messing Program Operational Support
PWS.
