The Translational Research Institute (TRI) project will consist of a new building with a potential first phase comprising of approximately 200,000 – 250,000 sf total shell space of which 80,000 – 100,000 sf will be finished interior space. This facility is expected to be the largest standalone facility dedicated to research in USF’s history. The building may potentially include the following programmatic elements:
a. Basic “wet bench” laboratories
b. Vivarium
c. Vivarium Imaging
d. Vivarium procedure suites
e. Synthesis, fabrication, and testing laboratories
f. Optimization facility
g. Informatics, biostatistics, and analysis space
h. Core shared instrumentation facilities
i. Tissue banking
j. Offices, conference rooms, classrooms, and other supporting areas
This solicitation for architectural and engineering (“AE”) in which the selected firm will need to include full design services required to complete a project of this magnitude, including but not limited to: visioning, planning, programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting support, bidding assistance through RFI responses, and construction administration services to ensure and achieve the best competitive price to meet requirements, functionality, and quality.
