DESCRIPTION
This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is issued under FAR Part 10 to determine whether a government registered vendor can meet the storage requirements of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
This is NOT a solicitation, and no award will be made from this notice.
The Government is seeking information from vendors capable of providing the salient characteristics below.
BACKGROUND
The Puerto Rico Facility serves as a secure location for storing supplies and equipment that supports the USDA mission in Puerto Rico and is a staging site for African Swine Fever mission in the Caribbean. The facility holds animal handling equipment (chutes, panels, gates), depopulation carbon dioxide cart, supply trailer, spray pump trailers, utility task vehicle, and supplies/equipment that cannot be shipped directly by vendors to overseas locations.
This SSN seeks to confirm whether any vendors can provide these requirements.
SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
• Must include at least one dedicated parking space for loading and unloading supplies and equipment
• The parking space should be near the storage area to facilitate easy movement of items.
• Must provide secure storage with proper locking mechanisms to prevent unauthorized access.
• The facility must be well maintained and clean.
• Storage conditions must protect items from damage caused by environmental factors.
• 1600sqft in total space. It can be a combination of inside and outside space but must be at least 800sqft of inside storage. At a minimum the 800sqft must be together and not split between storage units.
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
Vendors are requested to provide a brief capability statement addressing:
- Capability considers the ability to provide storage that meets the characteristics stated.
- NAICS Confirmation must confirm whether NAICS 493110 (or the acceptable alternate applicable NAICS of 493110) is appropriate for this requirement.
- SAM.gov Status must state whether the firm has an active registration in SAM.gov (registration is required to respond to a solicitation but not required to respond to this SSN).
