Description

Join the U.S. Coast Guard’s Office of Small Business & Industry Engagement on November 10, 2021 from 1:00PM – 2:00PM EST for its monthly virtual educational webinar, "Blue Technology Center of Excellence" (BTCOE). The BTCOE is designed to educate industry, academic and government partners about Coast Guard missions and technology requirements and to facilitate integration of state-of-the-market tools and capabilities in support of the service’s operational mission needs.

What is Blue Technology? Blue technology is defined by Congress as any technology, system or platform designed for use above, on, or below the surface of the ocean that can support or facilitate Coast Guard maritime domain awareness, search and rescue, emergency response, maritime law enforcement, marine inspections and investigations.

The BTCOE is the Coast Guard’s official conduit to the technology sector, seeking innovative ocean-focused technologies to enhance the service’s missions. The webinar guest presenters are Jennifer Ibaven and Commander Craig Murray.
