Any information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Announcement is strictly voluntary. The Government will neither award a contract solely based on this notice, nor pay for any information submitted by respondents. This notice is a request by the Government to collect information from interested vendors for the purpose of market research. Failing to provide a response to this announcement will not prohibit/exclude an interested vendor from participating in a future solicitation. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations.

Background

The Pacific Island Fisheries Science Center (PIFSC) is considering the purchase of one (1) USB Endoscopy Camera.

PIFSC uses USB endoscopy cameras for veterinary and field research purposes to assess protected species (e.g., sea turtle) health and sex. Due to normal wear and tear as well as being subjected to the high heat and humidity conditions in Hawaii, veterinary field equipment needs to be replaced on a regular basis to allow for efficient veterinary and field research practices.

Technical Specifications

Vendors interested in responding to this announcement shall only provide information for boats meeting the following specifications:

1. Hi-Res USB Endoscopy Camera is a 700 line, high-performance color ccd camera that is specifically designed to use with fiber optic and optical equipment of all kinds. With the direct-to-USB connection, and also an analog (BNC) capability, auto white balance and automatic iris control, this camera provides a clear, crisp image when used in conjunction with your endoscope (flexible or rigid), microscope or other optical diagnostic equipment. Camera comes complete with endoscope coupler and power/video cable.

2. Must be compatible with Debut Video Software.

5. Delivery schedule. Please include the soonest reasonable date that delivery may be possible.

6. Your firm's UEI number.

7. Your firm's SBA certified small business status. Specifically identify if your firm is HUBZone-certified, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, or in the SBA’s 8(a) program, etc. If your firm is not small, please state that it is a large business.
