The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate IAW FAR 6.302-2(a)(2) a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price Contract with the SDVOSB Geo-Med, LLC. This emergency procurement is for Impella CP Catheters. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339112. These catheters are used during cardiac procedures on patients that require left ventricular pressure support to improve systemic blood flow. The Portland VA Medical Center had 2 units but 1 is no longer functional, leaving them with only 1 unit. This is not safe as if this only unit malfunctions during a procedure, there is no back up. This equipment has a direct and critical impact on patient care. The OEM has authorized Geo-Med, LLC as its distributor for this equipment. The anticipated award date: November 12, 2024.
This requirement is for:
Department of Veterans Affairs
Portland VA Medical Center
3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Rd.
Portland, OR 97239

This will be the only notice of the Government s intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
