Urban Search And Rescue (USAR) Tents

Project Description: Hillsborough County intends to recommend the award of a sole source procurement to DLX Enterprises, LLC d/b/a Deployed Logix, for the one-time purchase of two (2) ASAP-24 tents, accessories, and four (4) portable shelter HVAC units for use by the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Task Force, in the amount of $105,126.87. This procurement is being made in accordance with Section 3-205(2)(a) of the County’s Procurement Policy because the shelter tents are only sold and distributed through the manufacturer, DLX Enterprises, LLC d/b/a Deployed Logix. A part of the Hillsborough County state funded USAR grant, the ASAP tents are specifically listed the FEMA Cache List to provide shelter to withstand challenging conditions including high wind speeds and torrential rain during missions and are only reasonably available from DLX Enterprises, LLC d/b/a Deployed Logix. The County reserves the right to extend the time period further, adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements, and increase the resulting award accordingly.
Contractors who believe that they can provide goods and/or services that are substantially and materially the same as those identified in the attached order form must submit clear and convincing information to support a challenge the intended award. Challenges to this notice must be received no later than the Close Date of the Sole Source (SS) Project. After this date, an award will be made.
