Project Description: Chatham County is seeking proposals from qualified, objective, and experienced consulting firms to develop a urban forest master plan. Urban Forest Master Plans are becoming a standard document for municipalities across the United States to manage their urban forests more sustainably and economically. Without one, many urban forest management practices are reactive. An urban forest master plan seeks to shift that management style to a more proactive one through the assessment of current conditions, identification of areas of improvement, and the creation of a roadmap moving forward.
