An Open House will be held on January 19, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM to visit the process areas at the Leon Creek Water Recycling Center that will be subject to the upcoming RFQs.

These upcoming RFQs will include the following projects:

· Leon Creek WRC Secondary and Tertiary Process Capacity and Hydraulic Improvements : The Leon Creek WRC has a permitted capacity of 46 mgd on an average basis and 92 mgd on a peak two (2) hour basis. The 2020 SAWS Wastewater Master Plan for Water Recycling Centers projected the 2050 flows to be 50 mgd on an average basis and 145 mgd on a peak two (2) hour basis. The Master Plan determined that the hydraulic capacity of the secondary treatment facilities is inadequate to pass the current permitted peak flows. This project will assess the hydraulic bottlenecks and design the improvements to be able to pass the current and projected flows with no restrictions.

· Leon Creek WRC Strain Presses and Solids Transfer Pipeline : This project will address capacity and maintenance issues with the solids holding, mixing and transfer system to handle the solids projected through 2050.  The improvements will minimize the deposits in the solids transfer (interconnect) line between the Leon Creek WRC and Steven M. Clouse WRC.
