Project Description: [UPCOMING; NOVEMBER 2024] Please review or download the Notice of Upcoming Opportunity under the Files tab of the procurement for details on this upcoming opportunity.
The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is seeking to hire a consultant to support jurisdictions in meeting MTC’s Active Transportation Plan and Vision Zero Policy goals by providing county-focused trainings. The objectives include implementing the Active Transportation (AT) Network, advancing the Complete Streets Policy, and helping to achieve Vision Zero. In collaboration with MTC and County Transportation Agencies (CTAs), the project will host one regional peer exchange and one workshop in each county (or sub-region). These events will address key regional barriers to implementing All Ages and Abilities (AAA) design and Public Right of Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG) on the AT Network and/or the High Injury Network. Additionally, jurisdictions will receive training on data collection for AAA facilities and a communications toolkit to help promote project performance. Lastly, the project will deliver a regional strategy and roadmap to guide the Bay Area in advancing MTC’s Vision Zero Policy.
The procurement dates are tentative and will be finalized once the procurement is officially released.
