UNR - Replace Exterior Doors and Hardware at William J. Raggio Building

Description of Work: This is a prevailing wage project. Like-for-like replacement of existing exterior doors and hardware on the second floor.

Estimated Cost Range: $100,000 to $200,000

Required Insurance if Awarded: Commercial General Liability, Business Automobile Liability, Workers' Compensation, and Installation Floater will be required. Please refer to the TEMPLATE-Owner-Contractor Construction Agreement on the Attachments tab for limits and additional information and in compliance with the requirements set forth here: https://www.unr.edu/bcn-nshe/risk/contracts.

Special Considerations: Work not permitted to occur during finals testing period, December 10, 2026 through December 16, 2026. Ideal installation timing is December 17, 2026 through January 19, 2027, or spring break in March 2027.

Contractor shall ensure that their work does not result in the building being unsecured during periods when the Contractor is not present, including nights and weekends. Contractor shall maintain all required emergency egress routes free and clear of obstructions at all times. Contractor shall schedule and sequence its work to minimize disruptions to classes and other building operations.

Attendance at the pre-bid job walk conference is required and parties arriving after the scheduled start time will forfeit their eligibility to submit a bid.

Completion of Work: Subject to change by Owner, Work is scheduled to begin on "December 17, 2026" and shall be fully complete by "March 29, 2027."
