The University of Alberta (University) was founded in 1908, and was established with a mission to build one of the world’s greatest universities “to uplift the whole people”. The University is one of Canada’s premier post-secondary institutions, with a long tradition of research and teaching excellence with deep and embedded ties to both the local Edmonton community and the province of Alberta at large. The University is comprised of thirteen (13) faculties organized around three (3) colleges, in addition to three (3) standalone faculties. The University is home to just over 40,000 students, across five (5) campuses, in two (2) cities, with the aim to grow to 60,000 students in the next decade.

The University seeks to commission the provision of an expert consulting firm with a strong track record of working in settings, similar in size, scope and complexity to the University of Alberta, to provide consulting services related to Traffic and Travel Demand Management. The successful proponent will create a proposal and corresponding report that will assist the University in planning for future growth and planning of its campuses within the City of Edmonton. With a focus on achieving our strategic goals and support the Long Range Development Plan and the Integrated Asset Management Strategy, as well as Built for Purpose: the University’s Strategic Campus Plan (currently under consultation). The provision of these services will assist the University in determining the best solutions while attaining effectiveness and efficiency, when it comes to meeting the future demand of transportation flow.
