Description
The Office of Coast Survey's Navigation Response Branch requires the replacement of their currently used Universal Sonar Mount (USM) systems. These systems are used for deployment and recovery of sonar systems used to collect hydrographic survey data. The USM mounts are aging and are approaching their end of usable life. The Navigation Response Team vessels were designed and built with a permanent USM mounting plate to be able to receive USM sonar mount systems. The bolt hole pattern on the welded hull plates will only accept USM-branded equipment.
