Redevelopment of Union Street No. 2 and Furnace Brook No. 3 Wells and Replacement of Well Pumping Units. The Union Street No. 2 Well pumping station equipment includes a 7-stage vertical turbine pump with 40 HP electric motor, discharge head, standby engine and right-angle-gear drive. The Furnace Brook No. 3 Well pumping station equipment includes a 12-stage vertical turbine pump with 40 HP electric motor, discharge head, standby engine and right-angle-gear drive. The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to disconnect and remove the existing pumping units, including electric motor, baseplate, right-angle gear drive, vertical turbine pump, column and shafts, redevelop the gravel-packed wells, furnish new pumps, columns, shafts and associated bearings and couplings, remove existing well level monitoring equipment and furnish new well level transducer/transmitter for each well (the transducers/transmitters will be installed by others); clean and paint the existing baseplates and discharge heads, furnish and install a new 6 inch x 6 inch ductile iron tee in the discharge piping at Furnace Brook No. 3; install the new pumps, reusing the existing baseplates and discharge heads.
