This addendum provides a summary of the questions/answers received and shall be considered
as part of the proposal and contract documents.
1. Graphics and illustrations incorporated into a revised Unified Development Code to
create a more user-friendly ordinance is often very helpful to the general public. But to
the surprise of some municipalities, online/electronic code providers may charge an
additional amount to host these graphics and illustrations on their website. Does
Galesburg have any concerns about including graphics and illustrations in the Unified
Development Ordinance update? Graphics and illustrations should just be used, when
necessary, such as when the text itself may be confusing to the general public.
2. Does the City of Galesburg have a planned "not to exceed" budget amount for this
project? Knowing this NTE amount will assist CMT in preparing a cost proposal that is
appropriate for Galesburg while meeting the needs stated in the RFP such as providing
site design and bulk regulations visually and providing graphics commonly found in
form-based codes. The City does not release budgetary numbers for projects.
