This is a sources sought notice to identify Made in America approved underwater ROV. The ROV must meet Government safety, data and cybersecurity requirements.
NOAA Ship Oscar Dyson requires an ROV for underwater hull and prop inspection and possibly removal of debris. The range of the camera and optional attachments like full function grabber arms will be very useful. The ROV must be able to withstand currents in open ocean to allow the ship for quick deployment and easy controls.
ROV General Specifications
Width - around 14 inches
Height around 12 inches
Length around 22 inches
Weight - No more than 45 lbs
Material - must be able to operate in high salt water locations and freezing temperatures in the Alaskan waters.
Depth Ratings - 1000 ft or more
Operating Temp - possible water temps in freezing temperatures to extremely warm temperatures
Warranty- 1-2 year
Tether Length - 1000ft
ROV Electrical / Lights / Camera
System Voltage - around 19.2 VDC
Thruster Control - Independent Control, 100% reversible
Video - 4k Camera or better
Picture - Minimum JPG 8MP or better
Lights - High efficiency LED with dim; lumens brightness which will not blind the camera, and tracking with camera feature preferred.
Training - Available for crew training
Offers must provide a specification sheet and data sheet for evaluation. If performance data is available, please provide with submission. (i.e. video showing operations in open ocean with high surf or strong current.
