Ultrafast Fixed-Wavelength Laser with Integrated Power Control
Description:

Binghamton University is soliciting bids for the procurement of a 920 nm Fixed laser system to support advanced two-photon imaging applications in neuroscience research. The laser system must meet rigorous performance, reliability, and safety requirements to ensure suitability for continuous use in a high-demand laboratory environment.

The selected vendor must provide a fully integrated laser system with built-in Total Power Control (TPC), and high stability. The laser will serve as a critical core instrument for multiphoton imaging and related experimental techniques, where precision, consistency, and reliability are essential.

Minimum bidder qualifications are defined by the following required specifications:

  • Central wavelength: 920 nm
  • Include built in Total Power Control (TPC)
  • Average output power: ≥ 1.5 W
  • Power stability:
  • Compact, air-cooled laser.
  • Include Dispersion precompensation.
  • High reliability: less than

Vendors submitting proposals must demonstrate that their system meets or exceeds all specifications listed above. Documentation of system performance, and service support must accompany the bid.

Also must include:

  • Freight/delivery of laser system to research lab
  • Inspect, set and mount the laser system in designated space
  • Return after final connections to microscope to verify performance and user training

SUNY intends to make an award under our discretionary authority, pursuant to NYS Education Law 355 (5) {a}, which is up to $125,000, for the above noted commodity / product or service.
