The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as âVDOTâ) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to furnish and deliver one (1) Texas-T Guardrail System, including two (2) bowing gloves. This shall include all hardware needed to install guardrail, (bolts, washers, nuts, splice plates), (3â sleeves with bolts, washers and nuts to attach guardrail to post), etc. Splice plate should have 8 â 5/8â nuts tack welded to a bent sheet metal positioner as shown in detail. (Galvanized). In accordance with the attached plans and specifications as described herein.
