UHH - CHILLER PLANT BUILDING REPLACE EXISTING YORK CHILLER [BID DATE CHANGED FROM 2/18/2026]

Project Description: The work required to be performed by the Contractor consists of removal and replacement work of the mechanical, electrical, control, and structural systems at the Central Chiller Plant building at the University of Hawaii Hilo at Hilo, Hawaii. Work includes replacement of the existing Chiller No.1 with an energy efficient water-cooled chiller, complete with associated pipes, valves, and accessories. Work also includes revision and expansion of the existing DDC control for the new chiller equipment, new refrigerant exhaust fan, new refrigerant gas sensors and updated refrigerant gas monitoring system, hazardous material remediation, electrical power to all new chiller equipment and associated accessories, and providing a third-party commissioning agent to test all newly installed equipment.
