Description

Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish an Agency Contract with a qualified supplier who will provide a Conflict of Interest Software System to the University of Georgia as further described in this eRFP.
The purpose of COI (Conflict of Interest) software is to ensure transparency, integrity, and compliance in the University's business, academic, and research activities. COI software will be used by all employees, including researchers, faculty, and staff, to timely disclose outside activities and financial interests; accommodate the approval process; and allow relevant offices to review, identify, and manage potential conflicts of interest. By implementing such software, the University aims to mitigate conflicts that may arise when individuals have personal, financial, or other interests that could compromise the objectivity and impartiality of their research or other decision-making processes. The software will enable the University to streamline the process of disclosing and reviewing outside activities and financial interests, facilitating timely and accurate reporting, and ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to manage and resolve any identified conflicts. Ultimately, investing in COI software promotes a culture of ethical conduct, maintains the credibility of research findings, and upholds the reputation of the University.
An Agency Contract will be awarded to the highest scoring responsive and responsible supplier with whom UGA can reach agreement on terms and conditions. The Agency Contract award will be for two years initially with three subsequent annual renewals available at UGA's discretion.
