UGA DBB CP 2843 DISTRICT ENERGY PLANT 2 (DEP-2) CHILLER ADDITION

The Owner will receive electronically sealed bids from Contractors through UGA¿s electronic sourcing website.  To eligible for contract awarded, the supplier must submit its response to this solicitation through SPD¿s sourcing website prior to 2:00 PM o¿clock, at the time legally prevailing in Atlanta, GA on May 16, 2025, for the construction of Purchase Requisition #199837362  / District Energy Plant (DEP-2) Annex Chiller Installation CP 2843 located at 113 Cedar Street, Athens, GA.  At the time noted above, the bids will be publicly opened and announced via a virtual webcast.  Instructions to access this webcast are attached to this Invitation to Bid.
Site Visit: There will be a 2-part pre-bid conference for this project.  Part one will be held will be virtually held via Zoom on April 30, 2025 10:00 AM ¿ 10:45 AM to discuss the contract documents and bidding process.  Instructions for accessing this Zoom meeting are attached to this invitation to bid.  Part two will be a site visit held on May 1, 2025 9:30 AM, at District Energy Plant 2 (DEP-2) Annex, 113 Cedar Street, Athens, GA 30602.  Attendance for both parts this conference is MANDATORY for any Contractor intending to bid on this project.  Others may attend if they so desire.
Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis.  No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after time has been called on the date of opening except in accordance with the provisions of Georgia law.  Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to the Owner in an amount equal to not less than five percent of the Bid.  Both a performance bond and a payment bond will be required, each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract Sum prior to execution of contract.
