Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with one or more qualified suppliers to provide customs broker services to the University of Georgia (the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP.
The University of Georgia is seeking a qualified, experienced customs broker to manage its import and export needs. This will enable the university to streamline the movement of goods, ensure compliance with evolving domestic and international regulations, minimize delays and fees, and improve communication and collaboration with research and business units across the university community. Depending on the requirements, the custom broker will provide support during the entire import and export lifecycle, including Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) classifications, Partner Government Agency (PGA) filings, and continuous bond management.
The State Entity reserves the right to make an award to one or more qualified suppliers who meet or exceed a minimum total combined score. Awards will be made to those suppliers whose proposals are deemed to be most advantageous to the University of Georgia, based on the established evaluation criteria and a thorough review of all submissions.
