Tybee Island Wayfinding Signage System Project

The City of Tybee Island seeks proposals from qualified and experienced firms for the manufacturing and installation of a comprehensive, island-wide wayfinding signage system. The design and branding elements for the signage have already been developed and approved by the City. This RFP is solely for the fabrication and implementation phase of the project. The purpose of this signage system is to improve navigation and orientation for both residents and visitors, ease traffic circulation, and reinforce a consistent visual identity throughout the island. Signage will direct individuals to key destinations such as beach access points, public parking areas, parks, civic buildings, historic sites, and commercial corridors. The selected contractor will be responsible for producing high-quality, durable signage that faithfully adheres to the approved design specifications, and for completing professional installation at designated locations across Tybee Island. All work must comply with applicable local, state, and federal codes and standards. This project represents an important investment in Tybee’s infrastructure and visitor experience, and the City seeks a vendor that can deliver excellence in both craftsmanship and execution. Sealed proposals must be received by 2:00 PM local time, on 9/12/2025. The City of Tybee Island reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. A pre-proposal meeting will be held on 9/4/2025 at 2:00 PM in the Tybee Island City Hall Conference Room. Interested respondents are encouraged to attend, as they will have the opportunity to discuss specifications and ask questions.
