Turner Avenue Fence Replacement

The Village of Elk Grove Village will receive sealed bids for the removal and replacement of fencing located in a public utility easement bordered by both Village-owned and private properties. Work includes but is not limited to remove and salvage approximately 112 feet of plastic fence; remove and dispose of approximately 538 feet of wooden fence; furnish and install approximately 810 feet of 6’ molded polyethylene plastic panel fence; reestablish side-yard fence connections; excavate post holes; cut and patch asphalt at posts installed in pavement; restore landscape disturbance; coordinate work schedule with property owners; and other appurtenant work necessary to complete the project in accordance with the exhibits, details, Standard Specifications, and Special Provisions.

This project is located within the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois.

The fence is generally located on the north side of commercial and open space properties along Turner Avenue, south of residential properties along Lancaster Avenue, and west of residential properties along Wasdale Avenue.

All bidders must be prequalified prior to receiving bid proposal packets. Bid plans and prequalification forms are available on the Village’s website www.elkgrove.org/bids . Once the prequalification form is reviewed and approved by the Village an electronic bid proposal packet will be sent via e-mail to the approved bidder(s). This bid has a MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING that will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 9:00 AM local time. The Pre-Bid meeting will be held adjacent to the project site at 75 Turner Ave., Elk Grove Village, Illinois, 60007. Project site visit will immediately follow the meeting.

Bids will be received until 10:45 AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, and opened at 11:00 AM, local time.The bid opening will be held at the James Paul Petri Public Works Facility, 450 E. Devon Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, 60007 at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read.  All bids must be received prior to the date and time shown above.  Bids transmitted by facsimile or email will not be accepted.
