Project Description: NM 502 pavement maintenance from Oppenheimer Drive to Knecht Street. This will be an extension of the road diet from Diamond Drive and will enhance multimodal infrastructure along Trintiy Drive (NM502). The project includes removal of median island and reconstruction of pavement to allow for a continuous two way left turn lane. The addition of bicycle lanes, reconstruction of widened sidewalk and curb ramps as necessary. The installation of a bus bay.
Utilities – Replacement of 2,200 linear feet of the existing 8-inch cast iron water mains which were installed in 1955 with new 8-inch C-900 PVC. The water line runs from approximately Oppenheimer Drive to 20th Street with lateral connections to existing services. All water services and fire hydrants will be replaced. Install new medium density polyethylene gas valves at six locations. Install 6-inch electric conduit crossings of Trinity Drive for future use at two locations.
