TriLink DNA analysis primers

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) intends to procure AMP Primers and SEQ Primers from TriLink BioTechnologies, LLC. These primers are proprietary products manufactured exclusively by TriLink BioTechnologies and are required to maintain compatibility, consistency, and continuity with existing laboratory methods and validated workflows.

No other products are deemed acceptable because alternative products have not undergone the rigorous internal validation process required by the FBI Quality Assurance Standards, specifically Standard 8 and Standard 8.3.3, which mandates internal validation studies prior to implementing any change in platform instrument model or typing test kit.

Use of non-validated products would require extensive revalidation and could negatively impact ongoing forensic operations; therefore, this procurement qualifies as a single source under State of Minnesota guidelines.
