TREF ECHS Renovations

Project Description: Minor renovations are required to prepare a suite for Quest Collegiate Academy, a new early college high school on the Trinity River Campus. Scope includes new storefront to accommodate new aluminum and glass doors & hardware, addition of pass through window, and new counter with sink and undercounter refrigerator at designated area for nurses (currently used as storage). Nurses area will need upgraded power/data/HVAC/lighting to accommodate use by personnel. Areas of work modified to accommodate new elements to be replaced in kind finish and materials. Any flooring infill to be provided to contractor from TCCD attic stock. Provide graphics for glazed surfaces and directional signage, and equipment as outlined in construction scope. All information to be included on construction drawings in lieu of separate project manual/specifications. Relocation of existing fire extinguisher to accommodate new double dour at suite entry point. Project provides infrastructure only for AV/IT equipment, cabling, and terminations. Projector will be provided by TCC.
This work is considered construction and not maintenance and under Texas Government Code 2253.021 the bidder shall provide payment bonds for all work over $25,000 and performance bonds for all work over $100,000. The cost of the bonds are the contractor’s responsibility and should be included the base bid amount.
Scheduled work to commence on July 12, 2026.
Estimated budget: $100,000
Drawings are expected to be released the day of the walk-through and our priority is to ensure this work is completed for our upcoming fall session. Classes begin August 17, 2026.
