The National Institutes of Health Clinical Center Materials Management & Environmental Services Department requires tip-action lid stainless steel trash receptacles to mitigate and/or reduce presence of rodents and other pests to ensure the continuity of safe and quality patient care.
A detailed description of requirements is as follows:
- 50 each fully stainless steel, cylindrical 41-50 gallon trash receptacle with a tip-action lid
- Lid must allow trash to be deposited and then return to closed position (should be manual, not mechanized operation). This functions as rodent deterrence.
