Transportation PlanMatSu Valley Planning for Transportation (MVP)

Help the newest Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) in Alaska complete their first Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP)! The MTP is a long-range transportation plan for the Mat-Su metropolitan area and is a statement of the ways the region plans to invest in the transportation system over no less than a 20- year planning horizon as of the effective date. The MTP will include a fiscally constrained list of projects to fulfill established policy goals. The Contractor shall perform the work described in the statement of services which includes research, long and short range transportation planning, travel demand model and traffic engineering, alternatives analysis, public involvement, and ultimately a final written deliverable. MTP must include all requirements of 23 CFR 450.324.

A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package. Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is approximately January 2025 to December 2026. Cost of these professional services is expected to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available October 2, 2024 and may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at 4111 Aviation Avenue in Anchorage, AK. Persons residing outside the Municipality may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 269-0408.

Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms. Submittals must be received no later than October 23, 2024, prior to 4:00 p.m. prevailing time.

Individuals with disabilities, including the hearing impaired, who may need auxiliary aids, services, and/or special modifications to submit a proposal should contact the TTD number: (907) 269-0473, no later than one week prior to the submittal date to make any necessary arrangements.
