General Description

The City of Greenville will receive sealed bids to repair leaking components of the ribbed

steel roof at the Transit Bus Garage at 215 E Fairplains.

Bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 411 S Lafayette, Greenville, MI until

Tuesday, December 9th, 2025, at 2 pm. All bids will be opened and publicly read at that

time in the City Hall Conference Room.

Evaluation of Proposals

The City will review submitted bids and other relevant information. The City reserves the

right to accept or reject any response for any or no reason and to waive any minor

irregularity if determined to be in the best interest of the City of Greenville.

Selection of Proposals

Once a proposal is selected, it will be presented to the Council for approval. It is

anticipated that this agreement will be considered at the City Council meeting on

December 16th, 2025.

INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS

SCOPE OF WORK:

The Transit bus garage is located at 215 E. Fairplains Greenville, MI 48838. The bus

garage was built in 2019, yet in 2024, upgraded gutters and snow brake system were

required. During the installation, the contractor found additional issues that needed to be

addressed soon. (see photos below) The issues that need repair are as follows:

• Repair void in exhaust pipe boot and replace cracked flashing.

• Replace poor flashing and reseal the bases of curbs on both sides of roof

especially where water is being trapped between ribs.

• Pull up gable trim to reseal along roof panel and add appropriate self-tapping

screws every 12” to prevent leaks on the southeast corner.
