Bid Description:
The Town of Killington is accepting sealed bids for the replacement of three culverts located on Trailview Drive (culvert #112-06), Great Trail Road (culvert #88-01) and Trailside Drive (culvert #86-06). The project scope includes temporary diversion of stream flow, removal of existing culvert, pipe installation, headwalls/wingwalls, and guardrails. Bidder is responsible for temporary bypass roads to maintain use of the roads during the project as detailed in the Project Manual. Completion of work in the stream is required by October 1, 2026, substantial completion by October 15, 2026, and final construction completed on or before November 1, 2026.
Electronic bid documents are available from Enman Kesselring Consulting Engineers at 61 Prospect Street, Rutland, VT, phone number (802) 775-3437.
All questions shall be referred to Enman Kesselring Consulting Engineers. Deadline for questions is October 1, 2025. Bidders may inspect the site at any time.
Sealed bids are due to the Town Manager’s Office by 12:00 p.m. October 6, 2025. The Bids received will be opened publicly at the Town Manager’s Office. Bidders are not required to be present at bid opening.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as described in the Bid Form. This project is financed with federal funds. Project requires Bid, Payment, and Performance bonding.
Bids may be either delivered to the Town Manager’s Office or mailed to Town of Killington, c/o Abbie Sherman, Director of Public Works, 2706 River Road, PO Box 429, Killington, VT 05751. Envelopes must marked “Trailview Drive, Great Trail Road, and Trailside Drive Culvert Replacement.”

There is no requirement for Davis Bacon prevailing wages on the bid.

There will be no economic price adjustment for materials on the project. The Town will reimburse for the aluminum structural plates as stored materials if they are ordered prior to the construction period.

The Town is securing temporary and permanent easements on private property to facilitate the construction.
