Traffic Safety Impairment Simulation Equipment

The Hialeah Police Department is submitting a sole source verification for the purchase of Fatal Vision impairment simulation equipment and related proprietary components used in traffic safety education and impaired-driving prevention initiatives. This equipment supports public outreach, school and community presentations, and law enforcement-led traffic safety campaigns focused on reducing impaired driving incidents.

The system includes proprietary impairment simulation tools, real-time feedback components, and interactive instructional accessories that allow participants to understand the effects of alcohol and drug impairment in a controlled, educational environment. These tools strengthen the Department’s evidence-based traffic safety programs and community awareness efforts.
